Line Cook

Job Summary

This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. The Line Cook will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation for daily service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
  • Handle food with proper hygiene practices, including food handling and storage
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
  • Support catering events and special meal preparations as needed
  • Serve dishes promptly while ensuring quality and consistency
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Experience with menu planning, food service, and catering is a plus
  • Dietary department or dietary aide experience is advantageous but not required
  • Fine dining experience or background in the food industry preferred
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
