Line Cook
Job Summary
This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. The Line Cook will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation for daily service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Handle food with proper hygiene practices, including food handling and storage
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
- Support catering events and special meal preparations as needed
- Serve dishes promptly while ensuring quality and consistency
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, food service, and catering is a plus
- Dietary department or dietary aide experience is advantageous but not required
- Fine dining experience or background in the food industry preferred
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
